Based on the October, 2023 Monthly Development Report, WF Planning Updated November 29, 2023 The updated Wake Forest population as of July 1, 2023 was 56,681. That figure included the new homes which were approved for occupancy. When all the current approved apartments, townhouses and single-family homes are built the population will rise to 69,956. The town keeps a running tally of approved projects with counts of those completed. The best inspections current estimate is that between seven and eight people move to town each day. New plans on the list Item #1 on the list for at least two years has been White Street townhomes SP-21-06 requested by the landowner David Smoot with The Nau Company drawing the plans. Obituaries Yo Soon Lee Wake Forest It is with deep sorrow that we announce the departure of Mrs. Yo Soon Lee in the early hours of Thursday, January 18, 2024. She graced this world with her presence on January 26, 1929, and her journey spanned 95 years of life. Our mother, Mrs. Yo Soon Lee, was born as the third child among three sons and one daughter to her father, Tak-Soo Sung, a Chinese writing and calligraphy scholar, and mother, Ju-San Park, in the Songsan village of Haeri, Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do province. She was born on January 26, 1929. She married In-Kyu Lee, and together, they had seven sons and one daughter. The couple was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In-Kyu Lee, who passed away in 1981, earned his degree from Kyungseong University. He went on to secure a congressional position representing Jeollabuk-do province and became the postmaster at
