To find it, go to www.wakeforestnc.gov, click on Departments and Planning. Future residential projects under review *Star Road PUD is a plan for both office space – a maximum of 60,000 square feet – and townhouses with a maximum of seven units per acre. *Mason Oaks Parcel 3 is a plan to build 21 townhouses along Edgemoore Trail. *Legacy Center Church would build a 12,400-square-foot church on Rabbit Run Road. *Hawthorne Wake Forest (formerly called Villagio) is a plan for eight multi-family buildings with 248 units on Star Road. The engineering firm is NV5. *413, 425 and 435 Wait Avenue call for a 40-unit condominium apartments with above ground and underground parking in the block between North Taylor Street and North Franklin Street

The fun day at Flaherty Park on Saturday, May 1, sponsored by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce begins early, at 8 a.m. with check-in for the Pickleball Open Tournament where there are competitive categories for those 45 and older and a fun category for ages 11 and up. Registration ended on April 17. Meals on Wheels is presenting the tournament. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can find the Young Entrepreneurs at their fair presented by Blue Wave Pressure Washing. You will find everything from jewelry and art work to bath and beauty products and snow globes. Charlie’s Kabob Grill will be on hand if you get hungry. There will also be a small outdoor business expo of businesses and organizations that serve families and seniors. A few spots are left for this expo; call the chamber to find out more. #
