It’s summer and Tri-Area is busy

It’s been another busy month at TAMFP. In June, we fed 840 families, 2,500 individuals. 196 (23 percent) of these families are first time recipients. As the economic impact of the public health emergency continues to impact our community, we expect our numbers to continue to increase, particularly with families who have never needed food assistance in the past. Community support is strong. As the summer growing season blossoms, we’ve had quite a number of home gardeners donate their excess crops. Our clients appreciate the fresh vegetables, grown and donated with love. Other efforts continue as well, including a group of neighborhood kids who set up a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds to TAMFP. Community donations remain steady, and we are well positioned to be able to meet demand over the coming weeks. We can use some help.   We seek a volunteer that can pick up donated baked goods at

The numbers of those people who have contracted COVIC-19 are growing rapidly in North Carolina.
