Free paper-shredding event on April 29

The Town of Wake Forest is hosting its fourth annual paper-shredding event on Monday, April 29. Free and open to the public, “Shred-It” will take place rain or shine in the parking lot of the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., from noon to 6 p.m. – or until the four Shred-it trucks are full. The occasion offers area residents and businesses the opportunity to protect themselves from identity theft and dispose of confidential documents in an environmentally responsible manner. All paper will be shredded on-site, then recycled. Participants are urged to help reduce contamination by removing all non-paper materials in advance, such as plastic binders, plastic folders and metal tabs. Local farmers and artisans will have meats, seasonal vegetables, bread, baked good and other local wares for sale. Victoria Roma Kucharski Wake Forest Victoria Roma Kucharski, 89, of Wake Forest passed away April 1, 2019. She was born in Poland to the late Jan Wojnarowski and Stanislawa Kutacz Wojnarowski. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 o’clock Monday morning, April 8, 2019, at Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Father Philip Tighe officiating. Inurnment followed in the church memorial garden. Mrs. Kucharski is survived by her daughter, Eva Jaffee and husband, Ira, of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Joshua Jaffee of Wake Forest, Sarah Jaffee of Nashville, Tennessee and Hannah Jaffee of Alexandria, Virginia; and sister, Wactawa Stowinska of Poland.
