*The Wake Forest Farmers Market has moved to the town employees’ parking lot on Taylor Street behind town hall. The market will be open this Saturday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. to noon, if the weather permits. Local farmers and artisans will have meats, seasonal vegetables, bread, baked good and other local wares for sale. See the market’s Facebook page for information about the vendors and sign up for a weekly notice about the offerings that Saturday. *Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. All profits support the club’s projects for children. Rev. Raymond George Bardowell Wake Forest Rev. Raymond George Bardowell, 88, of Wake Forest went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, October 7, 2018. The Rev. Raymond George Bardowell was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica to the late George Assad Bardowell and Emelia Yamin Milkie Bardowell until his immigration to the United States in February 1982. He attended the Wolmers Boy School and later in life, after he attended the Jamaica Theological Seminary, he went on to receive his Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Andrews University. Rev. Bardowell served as the lead pastor in several churches in Michigan through his association with the American Baptist Association. After moving to Smithfield in 2008, he had an active television ministry and after moving to Wake Forest in 2015 he had an active video broadcast and Facebook ministry. Raymond’s passion was sharing
