The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre at 405 Brooks Street will host the third annual Wake Forest Home & Garden Show on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 12, from noon to 4 p.m. Presented by Mitchell Heating & Cooling, the Home & Garden Show will feature over 40 local experts showcasing the latest in home improvement products, services and features. As an added bonus, this year’s event will again include a Shopping Marketplace with local art, handmade decor and various home products available for purchase. “For anyone planning a home improvement or yard enhancement project, our home and garden show will offer a convenient look at what’s available in our area,” said Renaissance Centre Manager Cathy Gouge. The Cotton Company will hold the second monthly showcase, 100% Comedy, in their event space on Friday, July 20 at 8:30 pm. Join them every third Friday to help encourage art and entertainment in downtown Wake Forest. Regularly hosted by Franklin Academy graduate, Benjamin Malone, 100% Comedy holds new local comedians on their stage each month. The show starts at 8:30, but doors open at 7 to provide the audience with time to arrive early and buy beer and wine. 100% Comedy will also be hosting special events such as their show, 100% Clean Comedy.
