*The Wake Forest Farmers Market has moved to the town employees’ parking lot on Taylor Street behind town hall. The market will be open this Saturday, July 14, from 8 a.m. to noon, and local farmers and artisans will have meats, seasonal vegetables, bread, baked good and other local wares for sale. See the market’s Facebook page for information about the vendors and sign up for a weekly notice about the offerings that Saturday. *Monday Night Bingo at The Factory is hosted by the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club in the Mill Room from 7 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday night. Obituaries

Frederick J. Martin Raleigh Frederick J. Martin, 90, of Raleigh passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018. He was born March 22, 1928 in Chazy, New York, a son of the late Floyd and Mary (LaPoint) Martin. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Inurnment followed at Pine Forest Memorial Garden. Fred served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Harris Corporation in civil service at Plattsburgh Air Force Base as assistant branch chief and government contracting officer. Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, target shooting, and skiing and had a love for traveling, the ocean, and camping. He was known as Mr. Fix It and most of all a family man. Fred was predeceased by his twin brother, Frank Martin, and his son, Frederick James Martin. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Tellstone) Martin; his children, David Alan
