Carrol Irene Dellinger Franklinton Carrol Irene Dellinger, 66, of Franklinton, formerly of Port Royal, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017  at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the widow of Charles Dellinger.  They had shared 28 years of marriage. Born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Carter of Creedmoor. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sybil Rupe, of Radford, Virginia, and three brothers, Jackie Carter (infant), Donnie Toone of Kittrell, and Tony Carter of Franklinton. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date. She is survived by three daughters, Fonda Gail Burke (David) of Franklinton, Shannon Dellinger (Veryl) of Chase City, Virginia, and Christy Jones (Chris) of Port Royal, Virginia; ten grandchildren, and
