Jane Gholson Lanham Wake Forest Jane Gholson Lanham, 76, of Wake Forest passed away on September 24, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living in Raleigh. She was born on September 23, 1941 in Washington, D.C. to Rex and Laura Gholson. Jane grew up in Arlington, Virginia and graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington in 1959 and Mary Washington College in 1963. Jane married Robert J. Lanham in Arlington, Virginia on August 31, 1962. They were happily married for 55 years. She worked as a preschool teacher and later for the Fairfax Country School System for a number of years and was a long-time resident of Vienna, Virginia until relocating to Wake Forest in 2005. Jane was a member of Vienna Presbyterian Church in Vienna, Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, antiquing, reading, and quilting and won third place for one of her quilts at the NC
