*The Wake Forest Farmers Market will be open in Renaissance Plaza on Brooks Street from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11. Mark the following Saturday on your calendar for the crafts market with longer hours. *Carnival for the Kids, sponsored by the Wake Forest Police Department, will again be held in the Home Depot parking lot of Retail Drive from April 7 through 12. The carnival’s proceeds provide money for police projects that benefit area children. *The Wake Forest Singer’s spring concert is all about dance and will feature several talented dancers. See and hear it all at the Renaissance Centre on Brooks Street beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Jacqueline Theresa Carcuro Louisburg Jacqueline Theresa Carcuro, 84, of Louisburg passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Carcuro was born on July 15, 1930, in Edenton. A private burial was held at Wake Forest Cemetery. Mrs. Carcuro is survived by her children, Sue Ann Downes and husband, Douglas, of Louisburg, Jacqueline Theresa Litts of Albany, N.Y., and Lisa Mitchell of Fredericksburg, Va.; grandchildren, Stephen, Adam and Lucas Palso, Kirsten, Callie and Cassie Mitchell, Jamie, Christopher and Jessica Litts; five great-grandchildren; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Carcuro, and by a son, Michael Carcuro.
