Friday Night on White bands named

The Town of Wake Forest has just released the names of the bands for the summer street concert series, Friday Night on White

The Magic Pipers will kick off the series on April 28, followed by Smile on May 12, Bull City Syndicate on June 9, Big Love on July 14, Love Tribe on Aug. 11, and Crush on Sept. 8. For more information about each band, including videos of band performances, visit www.wakeforestnc.gov/band-line-up.aspx.

Presented by White Street Brewing Co., Friday Night on White takes place along South White Street – usually on the second Friday night of each month from April through September. Due to Good Friday falling this year on the second Friday in April, the 2017 series will get underway on April 28. The remaining concerts will take place on the second Friday of each month from May through September. Each concert begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at downtown restaurants, and a variety of food and dessert trucks will be on site during each concert in the parking lot of Fidelity Bank at 231 South White and along Owen Avenue.

No outside coolers are permitted during Friday Night on White, but beer and wine will be available for purchase. Anyone wishing to purchase beer or wine will be required to present age identification and wear the provided identifying bracelet.

Friday Night on White commemorative T-shirts will go on sale soon.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles during Friday Night on White. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and will receive training and a commemorative T-shirt. Civic groups and community organizations are especially encouraged to participate. For more information or to sign up, visit www.wakeforestnc.gov/friday-night-on-white.aspx.
