Volume 16, Number 7
Through Friday, Nov. 10, a contractor working for the Town of Wake Forest will be conducting an inventory of trees located within public rights-of-way and street tree easements in various locations throughout Wake Forest.
Crews with Plan-it Geo will have identification and be wearing safety vests for visibility.
This initiative is part of a $12,500 grant award from the Urban & Community Forestry Grant Program administered by the N.C. Forest Service to add 2,000 trees to the town’s current inventory. The tree inventory data will be used to create an updated Urban Forest Management Plan.
Plan-it Geo is a geospacial and software technology firm specializing in urban forestry, planning, and natural resources.
