Volume 16, Number 7
The town’s first sprayground, planned to open later this month in Taylor Street Park, will open later because of issues involving the subcontractor who was hired to pour the concrete,
Work will continue on the sprayground, but there is no timetable for when it will open. The delay is not expected to affect the final cost of the project, which is $345,272.
The Taylor Street Park Sprayground is a joint effort between the Town of Wake Forest and Wake County, which is responsible for administering the contracts and construction.
When it is completed, Wake Forest’s first sprayground will be a dynamic, zero-depth aquatic play area that provides endless hours of fun for the entire family. The sprayground is designed to combine the sensations of different water movements – flowing, misting, and jetting – with dozens of diverse features for an unequaled aquatic play adventure.
